Can I Send Just One Parcel By Your Couriers?

Wednesday, January 25th, 2012

parcelpackaging Can I Send Just One Parcel By Your Couriers?Of course you can. A very large number of our customers just send the one parcel on an ad-hoc basis. The reason they use us is that with our service it is very quick to see how much it costs to send a parcel as well as exceptionally easy to register compared to stepping out to the Post Office or registering directly with a parcel delivery company – who may not even accept low volume customers.

We’ve built Parcel Monkey on the premise that many people just need to send the one parcel by courier every now and then – perhaps they’re returning an item, or sending something bulky like a bicycle and they physically not able to take it to a courier’s collection point.

So we’re more than happy to arrange a courier to come to your home or place and work and collect your parcel and get it delivered for you. You can see how low our prices are here.

What Happens If I Need To Go Out And Cannot Wait In?

collection What Happens If I Need To Go Out And Cannot Wait In?Of course, if you need to pop out, and there’s nothing that you can do about it then the world isn’t going to fall around our ears. It just makes things a touch more complicated when it comes to tracking collections online.

If you miss a collection, you can rebook, or even take the parcel to your local depot (you can find the details if you log in and select the appropriate order). Obviously this means that the courier would have visited your address for nothing – even though there may be a parcel to collect, but the courier cannot gain access to it. In this situation we would be charged for a wasted journey, so it’s understandable why we’d prefer you to be in for collection. It also means that you don’t have to drive out to the local depot, which might not be as close as you may think.

When Will My Parcel Be Collected?

Friday, January 20th, 2012

secure lock 3 When Will My Parcel Be Collected? This is one of the most important questions we get asked – along with when will my parcel be delivered? Just like many of the questions we get asked there is a short answer, which would be at any time within their normal opening hours which are generally 8am to 8pm.

We would like to be more specific and say that most collections are conducted in the afternoon, but this may lead some of our customers to only expect collections about that time and hence miss collections at other times of the day. CityLink state that they’ll collect from 9am to 17:30. If this is has not been the case, and you are eager to find out more information we do provide the phone number for your local City Link depot which can be found by logging-in and viewing the details next to your particular order. If you are still having problems, then you can quickly rebook your order here or, if you did really do want to, you can drop your parcel off at the depot – although this would be not something we’d usually recommend.

Do I Need an Account Before I Book?

Wednesday, January 18th, 2012

blog fulfilment Do I Need an Account Before I Book?Continuing the meme of questions we frequently get asked at Parcel Monkey – we have potential customers who wonder if they would need to register an account before they book a parcel to be delivered. The short answer is: yes. Here’s why …

When you purchase parcel delivery services customers generally appreciate the ability to track deliveries and to contact us about their order should things go wrong – the only way to do this is to put all of their private and personably identifiable information behind a log-in. This, in turn, creates an account.

Some retailers allow you to use guest log-ins when you buy items online, typically however, with these there is no way to track your order or download invoices at a later date. With a Parcel Monkey account you can fully manage your past deliveries. Furthermore, an account would help to expedite further orders as we would store your collection and frequently used addresses in an ‘address book’ – which you can quickly select and prefill the relevant fields in the booking form.

Another feature of an account is that if you ever have an issue with a parcel delivery you can revisit that particular order and manage the dispute online in an organised fashion. If you have problems with your email system and are not able to retrieve your shipping label, you can log back into the system and download them from there.

If you would like to sign-up for a free account today, it takes fewer than thirty seconds, and we would love to have you as part of our community.
