sportsdirect Sports Direct ReturnsThe address to return your gifts, presents and purchases to Sports Direct is:

Sports Direct Returns
Unit A Brook Park
Meadow Lane
Shirebrook

NG20 8RY

For goods returned because they’re damage they state they’ll examine the goods and notify you of the refund offered within a “reasonable period of time” – which appears to be within 30 days. They personalised goods are non-returnable as well as some other items for hygiene reasons – your statutory rights are not affected. If you have any questions about their returns policy you should contact their customer services team here.

It would appear that in store purchases should be returned to the same store they were bought from, but its best to check that.

TK Maxx Returns

Monday, December 12th, 2011

tkmaxx TK Maxx Returns If you’ve ordered items for Christmas via the TK Maxx website then it would appear that returns are fairly simple: their refund policy states that you can return items within 28 days of purchased, you can’t exchange gifts by post, if you return a gift by post the account used to purchase the item will be refunded.

It then gets a bit complicated. Firstly they say that you “must have a copy of the original despatch note from the purchaser” and then in their “Returning by Post” section state: “If you no longer have the despatch note, put the following information on a piece of paper and put it in with the item” – hence it may be a good idea to call them first? The information you will need to include can be found here.

Interestingly you don’t get a Freepost address; instead you need to post your items to:

DHLSC
Edison Road
Hams Hall National Distribution Park
Coleshill
Birmingham
B46 1DA

at your own cost (we should be able to give you a cheap price perhaps as low as £4.85+vat). They also say that they’re not responsible for items lost or damage and that you should get proof of postage.

HMV Returns

Monday, December 12th, 2011

hmv HMV ReturnsThe first thing to be aware of is that as far as we can tell is that the returning of items to HMV via post can only accepted if you have purchased those items on their website. In store purchases, it would seem, have to be returned to one of their retail stores with the relevant receipt.

For those of you who have bought Christmas presents or gifts (I suppose that also includes birthdays for people born at this time of year) between 1st November to 31st December you have until January 31st. After which returns will revert to their usual 21 day policy.

If you were hoping to exchange an unwanted present then you should note that they’ve discontinued this service. They are, however, willing to refund you – as long as its returned within time.

For the return of CD’s and DVDs you should return them to

hmv Customer Returns
PO Box 15
Guernsey
GY1 3AH

to do this via our small bag rate this could cost just £4.85+VAT. To ensure you have the latest information about HMV returns please click here.

For other items they request that you call them first where they’ll discuss your issue and then give you a specific address.

Asos Returns – Sending Back Clothes Orders

Thursday, April 1st, 2010

Gone are the days of free returns for many online retailers. It’s understandable that many people buy clothes in different sizes and then send the ill-fitting ones back and the online retailers, and ASOS probably don’t want to foot the bill for this. But it still leaves many people with a quandary about how to send their As Seen On Screen order back.

Feel free to check out ASOS Returns Policy before you return any items. But if you’ve already done that then you’ll see that you’re liable for the postage costs. You’ll also see that the returns address (ASOS.com, Returns, Maylands Avenue, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD, HP2 7DE) is a normal postal address so our couriers are in a position to offer you next day, or an economy service – which will help you keep the costs down.

As you’ve got 14 days from receipt to send an item back, this economy service may be more appropriate. However, if you’ve left it to the last minute to work out how to return your ASOS order then our next day service is still very cheap. Let’s look at some prices.

A pair of jeans is about 500g and a dress might be the same. So if you’re looking to return a couple of items to ASOS you’re best to guess around 1kg. If the parcel is about 50cm x 50cm x 30cm and 1kg then you’re looking at just £5.99 excluding VAT. And guess what, if you’re sending some heavy shoes back too, it’s generally going to be about the same price! So if you are a bit of a shopaholic then you shouldn’t get caught out with the cost of returning your items to ASOS – now that’s a bargain!

But there’s more. You don’t have to get to the Post Office either. Our couriers will pick your order up from your door, or at work, so you can just get one with the important things in life!

Check out the quick price checker and see what the price is.
