Sending Documents To China

Sunday, November 13th, 2011

greatwall Sending Documents To ChinaIt must be a sign of the times in that many British companies are doing a lot of business in China as we are getting a growing number of questions about sending documents, legal or otherwise, to China.

Although we have a small packet rate for domestic deliveries via our partners City Link, we don’t have a specific service level for these small items for international deliveries. But we do offer incredibly low prices for sending light parcels to China.

If you can box your parcels, or even use postal boxes which can be bought from most stationers quite cheaply, then we could deliver your documents to China for £17.99 if they’re 1kg or there-abouts. This is on a two to three day service which I think you’ll agree is very cheap. Looking elsewhere it would cost £3.19 via TNT Express, FedEx World Express would charge £38.80 and our friends with the voucher codes would charge £29.13 for the same service – a staggering £11.14 (62%) more expensive!

You can find out how much we can save you here.

Can I Book A Friday City Link Collection And Have Delivery on Monday?

Saturday, November 12th, 2011

friday Can I Book A Friday City Link Collection And Have Delivery on Monday? This is another interesting question we feel that we should also answer publically as there are a few things to think about.

If it’s Friday and you’d like your parcel collected on the same day and delivered on the Monday then you would need to make sure that you’re able to complete your order by 11am. If you did your parcel delivery quote, the second page you would see would give you a list of services available to you. If you can get this service it would normally be the top-most one – look out for “City Link Next Day Parcel + Collected Today“. That way City Link collect on the Friday and deliver on the Monday.

If you’re booking at any other time during the week you could use our cheaper, standard next day parcel delivery service where you can specify any day of the next eight collection days for your parcel to be picked up. This would normally include a Friday – although Bank Holidays could affect this.

If you really need a parcel to be collected on a Friday due to working or childcare restrictions then this would be the easiest method of ensuring that packaged is with the courier on the Friday. But don’t forget, if you did need a delivery over the weekend then City Link does also offer a Saturday delivery too.

Is Parcelforce express 48 Safe?

Thursday, August 25th, 2011

parcelforce11 Is Parcelforce express 48 Safe?As part of our commitment to not only answer customer questions, but also to improve our offerings, we always look through the list of questions that people ask about courier services. One of the ones that caught my eye was someone asking whether the Parcelforce Express 48 service was safe?

I think the first thing to remember that Parcelforce is owned by the Royal Mail Group Ltd and as such has strict and rigorous policies and procedures to make sure that any parcel sent via their service meets the requirements of their and our customers and have won a number of awards in the past.

Every parcel we send via this two day service or their Parcelrforce 24 is signed for and tracked, which gives you the peace of mind to monitor its progress through the network.

Now, no courier service can meet their customers’ expectations 100% and on very rare occasions things do go wrong – just like with any business. But we do have a dedicated team to put any issues right and we do offer  carriage guarantee cover which relates to items lost or damaged (please see our terms of carriage and list of prohibted items).

Furthermore, in our list of customer reviews, we very rarely see any issues relating to Parcelforce – and that is possibly the best measure of the safeness of the Parcelforce system.
