Friday, November 4th, 2011

sureflap iPad Competition Winner: SureFlapThanks to all those who came to visit us at the eCommerce Expo 2011! The event was a great success and we even bought our usual brand of fun to the occasion with our life sized monkey costume (see our Facebook page for all the pics!).

We thought the Expo was the perfect opportunity for a giveaway so we lined up a fantastic iPad2 prize and received loads of entries over the 2 days at the exhibition. The winner was SureFlap a company who manufacture and sell an innovative Microchip Cat Flap. It works by detecting the microchip of any approaching cat and only unlocking if it recognises your own cat, eliminating the problem of unwanted visitors entering your home.

SureFlap use Parcel Monkey to deliver their products using our next day parcel delivery service. This means their customers aren’t left waiting for their order and the fast, efficient delivery adds to the excellent customer experience SureFlap provides to all of it’s customers.

Like Parcel Monkey, SureFlap have a great innovative product and a clear focus on excellent customer service. There couldn’t be a more apt winner. Congratulations again SureFlap, we hope you enjoy your new iPad2!

Royal Mail Collections & Deliveries Affected By The London Riots

Tuesday, August 9th, 2011

For those of you who are expecting collections and deliveries in some parts of London (and elsewhere) Royal Mail have a commentary on the situation within today’s Daily Operational Customer Statement:

Collections:
Normal collections were made across almost all of the UK last night, although it was not possible to make a small number of collections in some areas affected by the civil unrest in some parts of  London yesterday. It was not possible to complete all collections in some parts of Peckham (SE13),   Lewisham (SE15), Brixton (SW2) and Tooting (SW17) yesterday due to security and access issues.    Collections should be made from most Post Offices® ,  customers & posting boxes in almost all other parts of London and the UK today.

Deliveries
The majority of mail services across the country, including London, are taking place as usual. In London and a small number of other areas affected by the disturbances, we are endeavouring  to maintain normal mail services wherever possible. However, in the areas affected by the civil  unrest, some road and police restrictions or damage to properties may limit our ability to access  businesses and residential customers to deliver or collect mail today. We will continue to update our service update pages with further information and advice throughout the day.

Daily Operational Customer Statement 9th August

We will keep our customers  informed in general if the current events affect any outstanding deliveries and collections. We would appreciate your patience and understanding during this period. If you have any questions, please contact us.

Special Delivery Mail Collection Service

Wednesday, June 22nd, 2011

linkletter Special Delivery Mail Collection ServiceDo you ever have important documentation that you have to send and the Special Delivery Mail service comes to mind, but you don’t have either the time or the inclination to wait in a queue at the local post office? Whether you’re a business needing to send important contracts or legal documents through a secure service or you’re an individual needing a guaranteed delivery for a new passport or need to send your driving license away as proof of identiy or because you’ve got some points to go on there – we have a fantastic new service that will not only save you time, but also money.

We’ve called it the Parcel Monkey “Special Delivery Mail” service that uses City Link and offers complete, end-to-end tracking of the mail throughout the UK. This is how it works:

  • You book your documents in for collection
  • You’ll be emailed a shipping label to print and use
  • The courier driver will arive (usually with a smile) with a link letter envelope
  • You then simply insert the documents, seal it up and attach the label we sent you.
  • The nex day, either before 9am, 12pm or 6pm (which ever service level you choose) the documents will arrive at their destination.

The are some restrictions to this service as its only available for mainland UK locations, its for next working day i.e. not weekends or Bank Holidays and its not for items over 1kg in weight.

If you don’t think your documents will fit in this A3 envelope then consider the bag price which holds up to 10kg and is 44cm x 58cm in dimension.

Did you know we also offer this special delivery mail service for overseas destinations via our partners DHL? Find out more here.
