We try and solve as many of your questions on the blog here so it saves you time trying to contact us to get answers as typically if you’ve got to arrange the delivery of a parcel or its collection then you need to get all the information necessary – now. So here’s today’s question we’re answering:
How Do You Calculate Courier Volumes?
Well, you’ve probably been to a courier company’s website and read something about you being charged dependent on your parcel’s volumetric weight. And now you’re sat there wondering if you’re going to be charged an exorbitant amount for a relatively small and light parcel. But worry not, we do all the calculations for you.
If you’re away from the computer then you can work it out by (length (cm) x width (c) x height (cm) ) / 5000.
But you don’t have to worry about that as we do all the leg work for you. On our courier quotes page you will see a box like this:

This form allows you to put the details of the parcel you’d like to send in and we’ll work out the volumetric weight and the best prices available for you. We even convert the numbers for you if you prefer to use inches and pounds or inches and kilograms.
It’s as simple as that. You just need to decide if you’d like your parcel being delivered next day, economy, before 9am the next day or on a Saturday.
